Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow - Too Cool Review

I love the Maybelline Color Tattoo. I originally purchased the white shade Too Cool because I was searching for a base when I use my Coastal Scents 88 palette. It works well for a base or simply adding highlight to the inner corner of the eyes.

RATING:

PIGMENTATION:
Its not as pigmented as I hoped. It applies more as a sheer wash over the lids. You can add layers to achieve your desired look. Too Cool contains tiny shimmer particles which makes me wish that it were matte. Sometimes there are days where I don't want to wear shimmer on my eyes.

PRICE:
It retails between $8-10 depending on where you get it from. Color Tattoo may be a cheaper alternative to a product like the MAC paint pot.

TEXTURE:

The formula resembles a dense cream. Its a bit harder to blend so you have to work fast to spread the product on your eyelids.

DURATION OF WEAR:
I have used this for a week as my only eye base for my eyeshadows and was mildly surprised that it was decent at crease prevention. My eyeshadows started creasing by 7-8 hours, which is not bad. Not bad at all. My eyeshadows look pretty much the same at the end of the night when I use the Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance. Both give me the same duration of wear except that the Color Tattoo is half the price of the Too Faced eye primer.

OVERALL:
Good for base! I wanna try Bold As Bronze, Tough as Taupe and Bold Gold next!

Lorac Pro Palette Review + Swatches

This palette boasts some awesome neutral colors and after swatching them at Sephora I knew that I had to get it. The Lorac Pro Palette has 16 beautiful neutral shades and comes with a small Lorac eye primer.

The eye primer is THE best eye primer I have ever used. I have tried Urban Decay Primer Potion and the Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance and they still had some creasing. When I tried the Lorac eye primer I was so happy that it had no creasing whatsoever. My shadows lasted ALL day long and I have oily eyelids. Just amazed at how this primer works, and I mean REALLY works. This stuff is just great!

The palette has a velvety feel and I just love holding it and running my fingers on it. The palette is very light weight and thin too.

The shades are so pretty! I love how the first row has all matte eyeshadows and the second row has the shimmery eyeshadows.

RATING:

PIGMENTATION:
The shadows have such great pigmentation. The color payoff is oh so amazing! Just a few light swipes and the color is noticeable. Nude and Champagne are very similar in color though. It was a bit disappointing to see that those two are basically the same color. Taupe doesn't pop so much on my skin, but its easily buildable. The shades are gorgeous and I am in love with this palette.

PRICE:
The Lorac Pro Palette retails for about $42. It is on the pricey side but you get 16 shades and an amazing eye primer.

TEXTURE:

The eyeshadows feel silky and applies like a dream. The eyeshadows are very easy to blend too! I noted that when you pick up eyeshadow, there's fine powder gathering on the pan. I feel like I'm losing product but it's not biggie.

DURATION OF WEAR:
Minimal fading through the day, especially with the use of the Lorac eye primer as base.

OVERALL:
So very in love with this palette. It has amazing shades for the coming fall season. Its perfect for achieving daytime and nightime looks. The palette offers great variety of shades for versatile looks. The eye primer is AMAZING. I need to buy a regular size tube of this stuff --it's just that great!

Here's a look I created using the Lorac Pro Palette. This was so much fun to do!

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick Review + Swatches

After seeing so much hype around the Wet n Wild Megalast lipsticks, I jumped on the bandwagon too. For such beautiful colors and the unbeatable price of $2.99, it's a steal!

I love pink lips and nude/peachy colors so these shades are perfect.

The packaging design was poorly thought out. Its difficult to avoid scraping the lipstick on the cap. Look at my poor Dollhouse Pink. My heart bleeds for damaging this pretty lipstick. I just hate how you can't twist the lipstick all the way to the bottom of the tube. Ick! This results in ghastly nicks.

REVIEW:

COLOR:
The lipsticks are pigmented and the line has some great shades to pick from. I love love love the pinks and nudes. They're vibrant and I absolutely love em!

PRICE:
Very inexpensive, wallet friendly for the cosmetic lovers on a budget! If you can find these on weekend sales at your pharmacies too!

TEXTURE:
It has a matte finish, so beware if you have dry, cracked lips. It can feel a bit sticky and dry on the lips, but you can always add lipgloss.

SCENT/FLAVOR:

No scent or flavor so that's a plus!

DURATION OF WEAR:
As for durability, its good. You eat or drink and the color is predominantly still on the lips.

OVERALL:
Love the lipsticks. They're a must buy! I'll be trying out the reds and oranges later.

e.l.f. Disney Villainous Villains Makeup Book Limited Edition: Review + Swatches

Guess what? I dropped by my nearby Walgreens to look for Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks but ended up with a delightful surprise. That's right, the limited edition e.l.f. Collections Disney Villainous Villains Makeup Book have made an elusive appearance. I ended up buying all three since I know that they're a most wanted commodity. If I failed to snatch all of em up I know that I would have ended up torturing myself.

Here's my review and swatches of the glamorously evil palettes.

This is such a pretty palette and the main reason is because I'm in love with neutrals!

REVIEW:

PIGMENTATION:
The shadows have good pigmentation. A few certain shades have less color payoff but its balanced out since a lot of the shades have excellent pigmentation even with just a tiny swipe. The lip & cheek color pencils are stunning and are pigmented. I just wish they were longer cuz the colors are gorgeous!

PRICE:
$9.99 for each palette, so its a great buy for the quality of the cosmetics, the glamorous theme, and packaging.

TEXTURE:

The shadows feel silky and glides like butter. The lip & cheek pencils are soft and creamy. They apply well on the lips although I have yet to try it out on my cheeks.

DURATION OF WEAR:
I experienced minimal fading and no creasing...but that's because I used my Lorac eye primer. I have yet to try out using the e.l.f. eye primer to see how it wears for the day.

OVERALL:
The palettes are absolutely stunning and well packaged. Each palette is well-thought out and customized for each Disney villain.
